SKI BOOTS SIZE
The proper choice of ski shoes is of utmost importance when skiing, since the ski control is achieved thru the ski shoes. Here are a few advises how skiers from different levels should choose ski shoes:
If you are a beginner or mid advanced, the length of the insole of the ski shoes should be around 1 cm longer than your foot sole (ski shoes are marked in Mondo point size, which means the length of the insole in cm, example Mondo 29 = length of 29 cm insole. So chosen, the ski shoes provide comfort, and both beginners and not much advanced skiers, can feel a greater pleasure.
If you are advanced or an expert, then it is well to choose ski shoes, whose insole equals the length of your foot sole. So chosen, advanced and expert skiers feel firmness when the ski shoes are buckled up well, which contributes to excellent control of the ski, but deprives the skier of comfort.
When the skier put on the shoes and buckles them up well, he/she must bend his/her knee forward and to transfer the weight forward in order to feel the resistance of the shoe front. This is the proper posture when skiing, wherein the foot is drawn backwards and the skier does not feel that his/her shoes are small.
